For some reason, it’s really easy for me to imagine Twilight as totally human, but with Trixie I can’t really imagine her with anything but blue skin. It just… suits her so much better than any boring old human colors. I think it’s also because any natural human tone would be warm colors, whereas her canonical color palette is very cold. So, I cheated with an uncolored sketch.

For some reason, I always imagined Trixie being really spindly and light-weight. Maybe it’s because her flat hair and long neck make her look skinnier than the other ponies, or maybe it’s because her name rhymes with Pixie. But I think making her really thin and fragile looking suits her overblown personality somehow. XD
