My GOD do I miss the old stuff! </3 It was so inspiring. Please, please, PLEASE tell me you have the old comics! I would be devastated to see it gone. ;__;
Hmm, shades of Herge (except without the whole "now in color" thing) Love the newer tone separation in the last panel, somehow makes it feel more night-like. And the re-lettered sound effects (and the absense of 'em in panel 3) really add to the better, deliberate pacing. I also like the new cut of the habit. Somehow, that's more appealing (and I don't think it has anything to do with boobs).
For some reason, the rosaries look less solid, like teething rings or something.
It's interesting to see a comparison between the original page and the newer version. I'd have to say that the newer version is superior overall and much closer to your current style for the webcomic than the original. Do you plan to redraw all the pages eventually?
The dialogue in the newer version feels more natural than the original as well. Catherine's current design is far superior to the original. While the loss of boobage is regrettable, the trade off for superior character design makes up for it. Another detail I find notable is how much better Claire's facial expressions are illustrated in the newer version of the page in contrast to the original. To be blunt; Claire's expression in the original version of panel one looks awful compared to the revised page.
I am definitely liking the revised page quite a bit. I think you should keep both versions so others can see just how far you've come in the development of your artistic skills since you began publishing the webcomic.
It's because I wanted to make her transition to being pregnant more obvious, and naturally she's not super curvy. She'll have boobs later, I promise. And there's always Gabrielle, she's boobalicious all the time.
