No Words can Describe how amazing this picture is. So Lets just say that the Icecicels are SUPERB, especialy when it looks like that the ice queen is about to fall backwards to her DOOM. I should also state that Flame princesses Facial expression Is like she is saying " Release Finn At ONCE" And the Ice queens Reply looks like she is saying, " NEVER, HE IS MINE YOU LITTLE TWIT". Plus the flames also look like The flame princess is destroying everything from Behind. Like a jet pack on the fritz. It is amazing no improvement needed. NO Change should be made.
When I was looking at the variation of takes on the Flame Princess, I must say that this one caught my eye more than any of the others did. Unlike the others, this piece ignores the 'romantic' side of the Princess and focuses on her ferocity; the side which I find to be the most intriguing.
But, of course, you're asking for critique, so here it is. I'll focus on the Ice Queen and her surroundings to begin with.
What caught the most of my attention was the particles of ice/snow, the Queen's hand, and her neck. Whilst the flakes add to the action in the piece, I don't believe they are up to the standard of the other surroundings, and are, frankly, distracting and misplaced. The light of the fire is not reflecting off of them, as it should, and they appear to me to be just 'too perfect'. Now, as I look at the Queen's hands, they appear to be too long, and I think it would contribute to the piece if the fingers were shortened and a spark of blue was placed there, like in this [link]. I also believe that her neck is just a tad too long (adding onto that, I think the mouth would improve if the gum wasn't visible). And finally, the shading on the Ice Queen's [lower] dress is cruder than the shading elsewhere.
As for the Princess, I do not see anything that needs improving. The flames depict the Adventure Time style well, and I think that the trail of flames following the Princess gives the artwork that bit more movement that it would need without it.
Overall, it's a wonderful piece of work that does Adventure Time justice, unlike some of the things I've seen, where people seem to be urinating on it's name by filing out images of the characters in their underwear.
