I love Susan Strong's design, although I wish she wasn't just another Aryan blonde blue eyed human. I would have liked her more as a woman of color, just for a bit of racial diversity in the show. Maybe the choice was a conscious one, to make her eventually turn out to be related to Finn, but... ehn. I was pleasantly surprised by her amazonian bulkiness. I found her to be overall a very charming character.

I read LSP's "lumpyness" as coding for being fat, which is one of the reasons I adore the character so much. She's lumpy and she considers it the hottest thing about her. She FLAUNTS DOSE LUMPS. You go, LSP.

There's been some debates on Tumblr whether Fionna is "chubby" or not, but in my headcanon, she is. I love the idea of a curvy action hero girl.

PB is a bit harder for me to categorize. When I imagine her as more realistically rendered, I don't think of her as being stick thin as she is in this heavily stylized style. I think she'd be less curvy than Fionna, and taller.

If I had included Marceline in the lineup, I think she'd be the mostly lanky and hunched over. Marceline in my mind is rather androgynously proportioned, almost gangly.

I'm more bothered by the proportions of Susan's head to the rest of her body, personally, since she's so "lumpin'" tall!
LSP also gets so many internets for her lump flaunting.

Hmmm... love the drawings, but I've gotta say, I picture LSP as less fat, but still a tad more than simply "curvy". My opinion, though.

Eh, I always assumed Ooo was set somewhere in Europe, and the majority of Europeans tend to be blonder, whiter, and have bluer eyes than most others. Of course, that's just how I thought of it.

It's a majority rules kinda thing in my head. They're most likely to be like that because there were more of them before the war, making their survival rate higher. Of course, It's still possible, but whatever. Their choice, right? That's what we have head canons for, amirite?

By the way, Susan is plain adorable. >. <

sigh why must everything be racialized? There is no racial agenda or diversity issue because you've simply missed the obvious. Susan is white and blonde because Finn is white and blonde, looking similar ya know it tends to happen in families. They are the only two characters with such similar features

Oh, this is a really good human-LSP. I would have liked her smaller though. Not smaller as in skinnier, smaller as in shorter. In my mind her 3 most prominent characteristics are lumpy(fat), purple and small. Feels strange to see her taller than Fiona...

Also, on the subject of Susan being blond, that might be an effect of where they live. A lot of people seem to assume that Ooo is in the US, but there is actually quite possible that it's actually in Russia or the northern half of Europe (but not Scandinavia). I'm especially thinking about the Ice King's past. It seems to me (based on his name, the architecture of the houses where he lived, among other things) that he did not live in the US. The Ice Kingdom is most likely that same place, and Ooo and the Ice Kingdom are clearly adjacent...

I've kinda got stuck on pondering over where Ooo is supposed to be... All the little things... Like the poster of Venice in Simon's apartment...

What I'm trying to say is that there aren't that many colored people in those places, so it is not unlikely that if Susan is their descendant she would turn out to be blond. Susan still has some color to her skin even if she has lived underground... I'm much paler. And Finn is only 14 right, his hair might go brown later.
